Global unwrought aluminum inventories at the end of July were down 6,000 mt from June and down 190,000 mt from July 2012, according to figures released Tuesday by the International Aluminium Institute.
Unwrought inventories totaled 1.173 million mt at the end of July, down from a revised 1.179 million mt in June and 1.363 million mt at the end of July 2012.
Total aluminum inventories at the end of July were up 2,000 mt at 2.224 million mt from a revised 2.222 million mt in June, but were down 134,000 mt from 2.358 million mt at the end of July 2012, the IAI said.
