Vietnam's Vinacomin is hoping to start trial production at the country's first alumina refinery in late November, a company source said Wednesday.
The 600,000 mt/year plant in Lam Dong province is expected to undergo at least three months of trial runs, possibly starting commercial production in March, he said.
If all goes well during the commissioning phase, the unit could tentatively be operating at 50% of its capacity in late March, he said.
