Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation has produced 124,000 tonnes of aluminum over the first 6 months of 2011 which is 20.4% higher than during the same period in 2010.
ENRC has increased aluminum production by 20.5% over the first 6 months of 2011. The group sold a total of 124,000 tonnes of aluminum. According to the document, bauxite extraction reached 2.689 million tonnes while alumina production totaled 813,000 tonnes. The production of chrome ore, high carbon ferrochromium and ferroalloys increased while iron ore production saw a decline.
Apart from that, production of primary iron ore concentrate and commodity iron ore pellet reduced as well. Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation is engaged in mining and processing chrome, manganese and iron ore, smelting ferroalloys, processing bauxite for the production of alumina and aluminum, producing copper and cobalt, coal mining and electricity production, as well as transporting and selling products. The group’s production assets are located mainly in Kazakhstan.
