Perfection Wheel Corporation is investing $1.7 million and creating 53 jobs in Huntington, Indiana. The startup company will occupy a facility that has been vacant for nearly four years.
“We are very excited about the Perfection Wheel project,” said Mark Wickersham, executive director of Huntington County Economic Development. “It is very encouraging to have new life at a vacant building and especially rewarding to assist with the creation of a new, locally owned business.”
The company expects to begin production in Huntington in early January 2011. Perfection Wheel will re-fabricate aluminum wheels for the after-market auto sector at the site.
The city of Huntington and the Huntington County Board of Commissioners are offering Perfection Wheel a grant towards infrastructure improvements at the facility. The Indiana Economic Development Corporation has additionally extended the company performance-based tax credits.
