José Khan, the Minister of Basic Industries and Mining, said that Venezuela signed an agreement with Belarusian company Belaz to purchase 128 rock trucks to be used in the Venezuelan mining industry.
Venezuela is conducting a feasibility study to export aluminum to Belarus, announced on Sunday Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez Frías.
The information was disclosed during a tour of the production and assembly lines and the exhibition of Belarusian company Belaz, which specializes in the production of rock trucks that are used to develop mining resources, state-run news agency AVN reported.
"In the future, we could send in aluminum. Now, we are sending oil," Chávez said. The Venezuelan president also announced the nationalization of gold mines Las Cristinas and Las Brisas.
