In a mixed trade, prices of nickel, copper utensils scrap and aluminium utensils scrap ended higher at the non-ferrous metal market here today due to better demand from consumer industries.
However, select copper, tin and zinc continued to decline on lower industrial demand coupled with weakening trend at the London Metal Exchange (LME).
Nickel prices recovered by Rs 10 per kilo to end at Rs 1,085 from yesterday's closing level of Rs 1,075.
Copper utensils scrap and aluminium utensils scrap both edged up by a rupee per kilo each to Rs 331 and Rs 86.
However, tin fell by Rs 5 per kilo to Rs 935 from Rs 940 previously and copper sheet cutting moved down by Rs 2 per kilo to Rs 345 as against Rs 347.
Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper armiture, copper wire bar and zinc all softened by a rupee per kilo each to Rs 359, Rs 353, Rs 348, Rs 387 and Rs 105, respectively.
