LONDON, May 20 (Reuters) - Daily average primary aluminium output rose to 66,100 tonnes in April from 66,000 tonnes in March, provisional figures from the International Aluminium Institute (IAI) showed on Thursday.
Total production in April was 1.983 million tonnes compared with 2.045 million tonnes in March. Total production in April 2009 was 1.914 million tonnes.
Daily average primary aluminium output in China rose to 46,400 tonnes in April from 45,000 tonnes in March.
Primary aluminium production in China was at 1.392 million tonnes in April from 1.394 million tonnes in March and 892,000 tonnes in April last year.
