MOSCOW (Dow Jones)--Russian aluminum giant United Company Rusal plans to cut its production costs to $1,000 per metric ton from the current $1,300/ton by the fourth quarter, the company's director of strategy Artem Volynets said Tuesday.
SYDNEY (Dow Jones)--Pan Pacific Copper Co. Ltd., Japan's largest copper smelter, Tuesday said exports to China have been strong since the start of the year, and it may export as much of half of its annual output during the current financial year.
BEIJING (Dow Jones)--Guangxi Laibin Yinhai Aluminum Co., a subsidiary of Guangxi Investment Group Co., plans to produce an additional 250,000 metric tons of aluminum this year, a company spokesman said Tuesday.
