The Dubai Aluminium Company has entered into a $3bn strategic joint venture to develop and operate the Sangaredi refinery project in Guinea. The other parties in the joint venture agreement are the Broken Hill Proprietary Company, Global Alumina International and the Mubadala Development Company. According to the deal, Dubal will make a sizeable investment in the Guinea Alumina Corporation which will see it owning a 25% stake in GAC.
