RUSAL seeks to widen its raw material base while Vietnam has an enormous energy potential and rich bauxite reserves.
The company is likely to set up a number of new energy and metal projects, and complete cycle production, starting from bauxite development to producing primary aluminum and alloys.
RUSAL, another Russian company SUAL and Swiss Glencore merged last March to become the world’s biggest aluminum company.
Incorporated in Cyprus, United Company RUSAL now has four bauxite producing units, ten alumina plants, 14 aluminum plants, and three foil rolling mills.
