Bosnian aluminium smelter Aluminij Mostar said it has launched a 35 million euro (US $45.6m) upgrade programme, starting with its anode output.
The project, which is being overseen by Finland's Outokumpu Technology, is scheduled to take around 17 months and will result in a 15,000tpy increase in metal capacity from the current 120,000tpy as well as greatly enhancing the plant's environmental performance.
