Dubal output up 8.9pc

Dubai Aluminium Co (Dubal) raised output by 8.9 per cent in 2006 to meet increasing global demand, a senior company official said.   

Dubal's 2006 output amounted to about 787,000 tonnes, Mohammed Yahya, Dubal's general manager for corporate relations and international affairs, said.

Yahya said aluminium exports to Europe amounted to around 218,000 tonnes, a rise of 51.1 per cent from the previous year.
