Demand from carmakers soared the inventory levels of aluminum in the reported 3 major Japanese ports by the end of October. The overall inventories were up by 4,400 tonnes in October or 1.9% to 235,800 tonnes thanks to Nagoya port among the in three major Japanese ports.
Stocks in Nagoya port stood at 98100 tonnes in October as against 90700 in September marking a rise of 8%. Nagoya area has considerable number of car maker’s factories. Inventories in Osaka port remained unchanged at 14,000 tonnes in October compared to previous month. Inventories in Yokohama were down to 123,700 tonnes in October compared to 126,700 tonnes in September.
In London Metal Exchange, a different trend has been noted in Aluminum since September the inventories have seen a decline of 98,850 tonnes or 2% from 4,632,525 tonnes to 4,533,675 tonnes by November 11th 2011.
