Premiums for primary aluminum to Japan expected to drop

It’s reported that the premiums for primary aluminum shipment to Japan may drop by as much as USD 10 to below USD 110 in next Q1 due to uncertainty in the Japan’s economy.

Meanwhile, Japan’s annual imports of aluminum are about 2 million tonnes accordingly, it is estimated that the world will produce 44.2million tonnes of aluminum in 2011.
