Aluminium Bahrain (Alba)'s role in strengthening trade ties with industries in Japan was discussed during a visit to Alba by His Excellency the Japanese Ambassador to Bahrain Hideo Sato on Monday, May 31, 2010.
The Alba Chairman, Mahmood Hashim Al Kooheji, met His Excellency the Japanese Ambassador, and welcomed him on his visit to the Alba plant. Also present at the meeting was Alba's Acting Public Relations Manager, Abdul Rahman Janahi.
Alba Chairman, Mahmood Hashim Al Kooheji, said, "The business relations between Bahrain and Japan have grown stronger over the years and remain open for further growth. During our meeting, we discussed ways in which Alba could contribute towards boosting commercial and technological co-operation with industrial bodies in Japan. And also, praised the strong relationship that already exists between the two sides,"
His Excellency the Japanese Ambassador expressed his appreciation at the positive impact Alba has made on the economic, industrial and community life in Bahrain. He was later given a tour around the different facilities at the smelter and briefed on the aluminium production process.
