Tokyo, April 28—Japan’s aluminum products shipment declined for the seventh straight month in March at 193,573 tons, down 5% from the same period a year ago due to weak demand from construction and beverage sectors, according to data from Japan Aluminum Association on Monday. The data also shows that Japan produced 194,896 tons of aluminum in March, down 6.3% from the year-earlier period, as rolling aluminum output fell considerably. Weak demand from Construction industry mainly entails influence by tighter regulations from the government. Analyst predicts aluminum demand from beverage will continue declining because of surging beer price, and beverage manufactures have downgraded demand. COPYRIGHT All rights reserved.
