NEW DELHI: Aluminium prices fell by 0.99 per cent to Rs 114.70 per kg in futures trading on Monday as speculators offloaded their positions driven by weak global trend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in February declined by Rs 1.15, or 0.99 per cent to Rs 114.70 per kg in business turnover of 2996 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in March traded lower by Rs 1.15, or 0.98 per cent to Rs 115.85 per kg in 390 lots.
Market analysts said speculators offloaded their positions in tandem with a weak global trend mainly led to decline in aluminium futures.
Meanwhile, aluminium for delivery in three months fell 1.1 per cent to $ 2,145 a tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
