Ferrous and Non-ferrous metals flat

 Barring copper heavy and copper wire bars, the ferrous and non-ferrous metals remained steady today on moderate demand from stockists and positive trend in London Metal Exchange (LME), traders at the Bombay Metals Exchange (BME) said.

 

In ferrous metals, copper heavy declined by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 46,500 on selling pressure from industrial users.

 

 

Other metals like copper utensils, brass utensils, brass cuttings and alumnium utensils remained unaltered, traders said.

 

 

In non-ferrous metals, copper wire bars advanced by Rs 100 to Rs 50,100 following good demand from stockists.

 

 

No change was seen in aluminium ingot, zinc slab, lead ingot, tin slab and nickel cathode, traders added.

 

 

Ferrous metals (Per quintal in Rupess): Copper Heavy Rs 46,500, Copper Utensils Rs 43,200 Brass Utensils Rs 31,600, Brass Cuttings Rs 32,500 and Aluminium Utensils Rs 11,100.

 

 

Non-ferrous Metals : Copper Wire Bars Rs 50,100 Aluminium Ingot Rs 13,500, Zinc Slab Rs 12,800, Lead Ingot Rs 11,800, Tin Slab Rs 1,330 and Nickel Cathode Rs 1,115.
