National Aluminum Company Limited said that global aluminum prices are likely to remain in USD 2200 per tonne to USD 2300 per tonne range for at least the next 3 and 4 months as uncertainty in Greece continues to keep pressure on prices.
Mr BL Bagra CMD of NALCO said that "We feel that USD 2100 to USD 2200 is the range of the global aluminum prices which will be maintained in the short term about a month or so and the 3 months average would be between USD 2200 and SUD 2300 a tonne"
He said that the uncertainty in Greece continues to keep the pressure on prices. Prices are not finding their place according to the fundamentals. Fundamentals and technicals are both absent from the market as far as pricing is concerned. Nobody could predict how the situation would pan out and this uncertainty will keep the pressure on prices.
