Reuters reported that India's National Aluminum Company Limited sold 1,500 tonnes of aluminum billets at USD 150 per tonne premium over the average LME cash price on a cost insurance and freight basis.
Mr Ansuman Das director commercial of NALCO said that the aluminum will be shipped to an Australian firm in six batches of 250 tonnes each from August to January.
NALCO, whose tenders serve as a global benchmark, last sold 6,000 tonnes of aluminum ingots in June to a European firm at USD 103 per tonne premium over the average LME cash price
