National Aluminium Co (NALCO) sold 3,000 tonnes of aluminium ingots at USD 109 per tonne premium over the average LME cash price on a cost, insurance and freight basis, a company source said on Tuesday.
The buyer, Switzerland-based Alaska Metals will get the metal in one batch by April, the senior official with direct knowledge of the deal said, but cited company policy to stay unidentified.
NALCO, whose tenders serve as a global benchmark, last sold 7,500 tonnes of aluminium ingots in February to the same company at a premium of USD 106.51 per tonne over the average LME cash price on a delivered basis.
