Sensitive Index Declines Most in a Week; Hindalco Shares Lead the Slide

Bloomberg Dec 23---India’s benchmark stock index extended its drop to 0.3 percent. The Bombay Stock Exchange’s Sensitive Index, or Sensex, lost 56.04 percent to 19,959.76 as of 12:04 p.m. in Mumbai, set for its steepest decline a week. Hindalco Industries Ltd., the biggest aluminum producer, fell 1.5 percent.
