Reuters reported that India's state run National Aluminum Company Limited sold 9,000 tonnes of aluminum ingots at USD 111 per tonne premium over the average LME cash price on a cost, insurance and freight basis.
The company sources said that the buyer, Switzerland based Alaska Metals will get the metal in six batches of 1,500 tonnes each from January.
NALCO, the tenders of which serve as an international benchmark, last sold aluminum in October at USD 100.53 per tonne over the average LME cash price on a cost, insurance and freight basis.
