Consumer durables, IT, technological and realty sectors dropped 0.92 percent, 0.91 percent, 0.75 percent and 0.74 percent, respectively.
State Bank of India, ICICI Bank (NYSE:IBN) , industrial firm Jaiprakash Associates and software outsourcing player WIPRO lost 1.48 percent, 1.18 percent, 0.93 percent and 0.95 percent.
Still, health care, automobile and fast moving consumer goods sectors gained 0.31 percent, 0.23 percent and 0.15 percent, respectively.
Copper refiner Sterlite Industries, aluminum maker Hindalco, consumer goods maker Hindustan Unilever (NYSE:UL) and Reliance Infrastructure (OOTC:RCTDF) grew 2.95 percent, 2.22 percent, 1.55 percent and 1. 14 percent.
