Tracking firm overseas trend and good demand in spot markets, aluminium futures rose Rs 0.20, or 0.22 per cent, at Rs 93.05 per kg today.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in July contract edged higher by Rs 0.20, or 0.22 per cent, to Rs 93.05 per kg, with a turnover of 11 lots.
The metal for delivery in August contract also traded Rs 0.20, or 0.21 per cent higher, at Rs 94.10 per kg, with a business turnover of five lots. At the London Metal Exchange, aluminum gained 0.5 per cent to $1,982 a tonne.
Market analysts said that besides firming trend in the entire base metals pack, at the London Metal Exchange, good demand at domestic markets also supported the rise in aluminium prices at futures market here.
