BHUBANESWAR India, July 6 (Reuters) - India's state-run National Aluminium Co Ltd (NALU.BO: Quote) (NALCO) has sold 6,000 tonnes of aluminium ingots at a premium of $92.50 a tonne, over the average LME cash price on a cost, insurance and freight basis, a company source said on Tuesday.
NALCO will supply the metal to South Korea-based STX Corporation in six batches of 1,000 tonnes each between August and January, said the official who has direct knowledge of the deal but could not be named due to company policy.
NALCO, whose tenders serve as an international benchmark, sold 9,000 tonnes of aluminium ingots last month to Metcom International at a premium of $88.10 per tonne over the average LME cash price on a cost, insurance and freight basis.
