Reuters reported that India's state run National Aluminium Company Limited sold 10,000 tonnes of aluminium ingots at USD 85.10 per tonne premium over the average LME cash price on a cost, insurance and freight basis.
The official said that the buyer, Swiss based Metcom International will be supplied 5 batches of 2,000 tonnes each of the metal starting from June.
The source said that NALCO, the tenders of which serve as an international benchmark, last sold 9,000 tonnes of aluminium ingots to European trading firm Trafigura in April at USD 82.28 per tonne premium over the average LME cash price on a cost, insurance and freight basis.
