Reuters reported that National Aluminium Company Limited has issued a tender to export 10,000 tonnes of aluminium ingots.
A senior company source said that Bids have to be submitted by May 24th 2010 and the metal can be shipped in 5 batches of 2,000 tonnes from June to October.
The source said that NALCO, whose tenders serve as an international benchmark, last sold 9,000 tonnes of aluminium ingots to European trading firm Trafigura in April at USD 82.28 per tonne premium over the average LME cash price on a cost, insurance and freight basis.
