BHUBANESWAR, India, May 19 (Reuters) Indian state-run National Aluminium Co Ltd has issued a tender to export 10,000 tonnes of aluminium ingots, a senior company source said on Wednesday.
Bids have to be submitted by May 24, and the metal can be shipped in five batches of 2,000 tonnes from June to October, said the official who has direct knowledge of the tender process but could not be named due to company policy.
NALCO, whose tenders serve as an international benchmark, last sold 9,000 tonnes of aluminium ingots to European trading firm Trafigura in April at $82.28 per tonne premium over the average LME cash price on a cost, insurance and freight basis, the same source had said.
