BHUBANESWAR, India, April 13 (Reuters) - India's state-run National Aluminium Co Ltd (NALCO) sold 9,000 tonnes of aluminium ingots at $82.28 per tonne premium over the average LME cash price on a cost, insurance and freight basis, a company source said on Tuesday.
The buyer, European trading firm Trafigura, will be supplied six batches of 1,500 tonnes each of the metal from this month till September, said the source, who has direct knowledge of the tender process but could not be identified due to company policy.
NALCO, whose tenders serve as an international benchmark, last sold aluminium in March at $88 a tonne premium over the average LME cash price on a cost, insurance and freight basis, the same source had said.
