India's NALCO tenders to buy 200,000 T coal-source

BHUBANESWAR, India, Jan 27 (Reuters) - India's state-run National Aluminium Co (NALU.BO) has issued a tender to buy 200,000 tonnes of washed coal, a senior company official said on Wednesday.

The last date for submission of bids is Feb 8, said the official, who is close to the tendering process but could not be named due to company policy.

The company is looking to buy the coal from the domestic market for its captive power plant at Angul in the eastern state of Orissa, the source said. (Reporting by Jatindra Dash)
