The extraction of bauxite equaled 5.495 million tonnes with 3.5% increase and alumina production increased by 1.8% to 1.670 million tonnes.
According to a report of the ENRC, in 2011 the company increased the production of aluminum by 9.8% to 249,000 tonnes. The Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation deals with the extraction and processing of chrome, manganese and iron ore, the smelting of ferroalloys, the extraction and processing of bauxite for receiving alumina, the production of aluminum, copper, cobalt, the extraction of coal and the production of power energy as well as the transportation and sale of products. The production assets of the group of companies are mainly situated in Kazakhstan.
