HAI Aluminium to invest EUR 40 M (USD 50 Million) in Arad plant

Austrian HAI Aluminium, one of major European producers of aluminium alloy structures, plans to invest some EUR 40 million (USD 50 Million )in a production unit in the town of Santana, in western Arad County, the town's Mayor Viorel Enache said. This investment is one of the largest greenfield investments in heavy industry. ''Firstly, the company is expanding rather than moving its production. There are other reasons for which it chose Romania: to take advantage of the 'first come' principle, and to be the only company specialized in the recycling of aluminium waste in Romania,'' said Rob C.
