Mytilineos says unit has completely hedged 2007 aluminium production

The company added that all alumina production has been pre sold until 2009.

Mytilineos management added that they had hired a specialist and two advisors to assist with the monetarization of Aluminium of Greeces real estate portfolio and that the company has realized a capital gain of 1.7 mln eur from the sale of its headquarters in central Athens.

Regarding the progress of Aluminum of Greeces cogeneration plant, management said that construction is ahead of schedule and should be completed by the end of February 2007.

However, the plant will not be connected with gas pipelines by the public gas monopoly DEPA until the end of May. Management clarified that the electricity generated by the plant would be sold into the national grid.

The company added that its engineering unit Metka will be bidding for an electricity generation project in Pakistan using GE technology.
