Sapa Aluminium, a producer of aluminium profiles and components of the Swedish Sapa group owned by Norwegian Orkla, has invested over zl.30 million in Poland so far this year.
"In the Trzcianka plant in Wielkopolska we launched the third production line and the second line for anoding. Thanks to this we doubled production capacity to 24,000 tones and boosted employment to 560 people. Since the end of August the factory has been operating a three shift system," said Peter Arendt, director of Sapa Aluminium.
In fall next year the company will launch the third anoding line in the plant at a cost of zl.15 million.
"By the end of the year we will register another entity called Lódz Sapa Automotive. It will solely handle the production of automotive components," said Arendt.
The Polish company mainly exports to Germany, the Czech Republic and Ukraine.
