Chalco Could Build Aluminum Smelter in Gulf States

Reports out of Beijing state that Chalco, Aluminum Corporation of China, is negotiating to build aluminum smelters in the Middle east. The main factor being lower fuel cost in the region compared to China. China has been and is expected to continue increasing its electricity tariff which is instigating the move in production out of China.
