According to statistics released by the National Bureau of Statistics of China (NBS), China’s alumina production was 7.08 million tons in August, falling by 0.8% compared to the same month a year ago.
In August, China’s electrolytic aluminum output was 3.6 million tons, up by 3.1% year on year. Aluminum products output was 5.48 million tons, rising by 6.6% year on year. Aluminum alloy output was 1.25 million tons, hiking by nearly 10% year on year.
In the first eight months, China’s alumina production rose by 0.6% to 54.54 million tons, electrolytic aluminum production grew by 2.9% to 27.23 million tons, aluminum products output increased by 4.3% to 40.89 million tons, and aluminum alloy output hiked by 16.3% to 9.29 million tons, all compared to the same period a year earlier.
