According to statistics from the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China, China’s alumina exports totaled 50,000 tons in July, soaring by 1940% compared to the same month a year ago.
During the period, the imports of aluminum ore and concentrates were around 9.3 million tons, down by 15.7% year on year; those of unwrought aluminum and aluminum products reached approximately 312,100 tons, dropping by 20.2% year on year.
In the first seven months of this year, China’s alumina exports amounted to 90,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 7.2%. The imports of aluminum ore and concentrates were around 64.4 million tons, dropping by 7.1% year on year; those of unwrought aluminum and aluminum products were around 1.77 million tons, a year-on-year hike of 47%.
