According to statistics, in the first half of this year, China’s bauxite imports amounted to 55.14 million tons, reducing by 5.5% compared to the same period a year ago. The import value reached US$2.48 billion, a year-on-year drop of 9%.
During the period, China’s copper concentrate imports totaled around 11.5 million tons, rising by 6.2% year on year. The import value was US$25.7 billion, a year-on-year hike of 58.2%.
Meanwhile, the exports of unwrought aluminum and aluminum products totaled around 2.62 million tons, up by 10.7% year on year. The export value had a year-on-year growth of 32.5% to US$8.33 billion.
