According to statistics from the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China, China's imports of unwrought aluminum and aluminum products totaled around 294,100 tons in June, hiking by 30.4% compared to the previous month and also increasing by 1.8% from the same month a year ago.
In the first half of this year, China totally imported 1.46 million tons of unwrought aluminum and aluminum products, up by 79.2% year on year.
In terms of bauxite, China imported around 10.1 million tons of bauxite in June, increasing by 11.3% month on month while dropping by 3% year on year. China’s bauxite imports in the January-June period amounted to 55.14 million tons, sliding by 5.5% year on year.
