According to statistics released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) of China, the output of 10 major non-ferrous metals in China totaled around 16.1 million tons in the first quarter of this year, up by 11.7% compared to the same period a year ago. Among them, China’s primary aluminum output had a year-on-year increase of 8.8% to 9.76 million tons.
In March alone, China’s 10 major non-ferrous metals output amounted to roughly 5.48 million tons, a year-on-year hike of 12.7%, of which primary aluminum accounted for 3.28 million tons, up by 8.5% year on year.
