According to statistics from the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China, China's imported around 17.1 million tons of aluminum ore and concentrates from January to February, dropping by 7.1% compared to the same period a year ago. The imports of alumina reached roughly 488,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 29.3%.
The import volume of aluminum scrap had a year-on-year reduction of 12.3% to around 107,200 tons, and that of primary aluminum surged by 3290.87% to roughly 245,400 tons during the period.
