According to statistics, China produced around 6.68 million tons of bauxite in August, up by 0.75% compared to the previous month while dropping by 1.0% from the same month a year ago.
Among them, the output from Shanxi accounted for the largest proportion, totaling roughly 2.3 million tons, a month-on-month decrease of 1.72%, followed by Henan, Guangxi, Guizhou, and Yunnan.
In the first eight months of this year, the total bauxite output in China amounted to nearly 50 million tons, a year-on-year reduction of 14.17%.
