The Republic of Guinea, Australia, and Indonesia remained to be the top three bauxite suppliers to China in May. Guinea exported 4.13 million tonnes in May, down 14.33% from April and 17.84% year-on-year. That accounted for 43% of China’s total bauxite imports. The drop was due to lower demand after some refiners halted part of the capacity.
