According to statistics released by the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China, China exported a total of around 646,000 tons of aluminum products from January to February, sliding by 20% compared to the same period a year ago.
The obvious decrease was mainly due to the Spring Festival and the novel coronavirus outbreak impacting several factors such as downstream buyers’ trading activities and the logistic industry.
In 2019, the exports of aluminum products in China amounted to approximately 5.2 million tons, a year-on-year reduction of 1.6%.
