As one of the main types of aluminum fabrication materials, by its unique decorative property, excellent soundproofing property and thermal insulation as well as recycle ability, the aluminum profile is widely applied to the building fields; moreover, by virtue of its advantages, such as the property of extrusion forming for once, high mechanical and physical properties, good conductivity and high specific strength etc., it is being more and more widely applied to the following fields, such as transportation, electronics, machinery field, light industry, petroleum, chemical field, aviation and aerospace etc.
In China, the output of aluminum profile was 30,733,053 tons in 2012, rising 15.87% year-on-year. Shandong, Henan and Guangdong provinces are presently China’s major production places of aluminum profile, among which, Shandong accounts for 21%, Henan accounting for 20% and Guangdong accounting for 12%; most of the domestic key enterprises of aluminum profile also are concentrated in these places.
As the developing country that is in the middle-term of industrialization, China will formally step into the moderately developed countries rank in the future 20 to 30 years, which is the key period for China to achieve the third-step strategy aim. The aluminum profile has huge application space in the industry fields; among the current 124 industrial sectors in China, 113 sectors use the aluminum products, which accounting for 91%.
The national related departments have put forward the guidance suggestions on the consumption structure of aluminum profile; the National Development and Reform Commission, National Ministry of Finance and other nine ministerial commissions jointly issue the Notice of Guidance Suggestions on Accelerating the Structural Adjustments of Aluminum Industry, which puts forward that one of the main goals of the aluminum industry structural adjustments lies in increasing the proportion of processing materials with high added value, making the proportion of the industry profile and building profile reach 7:3. In the meantime, with the light-weighting of transportation industry and the development of the electronic and electric power industry and machinery industry, the industry application fields of aluminum profile in China are continuously extended and the demand for the medium and high-strength aluminum roll, tube and rod materials is growing rapidly. In the future years, the consumption proportion of the industry aluminum profile in the total consumption volume of aluminum profile will rise yearly; the proportion in the aluminum profile products will rise to about 45~50% by 2015 from the current 30%, gradually dominating the leading position of the market.
