Recently, China's National Development and Reform Commission announced the running situation of the nonferrous metals industry from January to July.
In the first seven months, non-ferrous metal industry realized profit of 89.08 billion Yuan, down 10.2% YOY, among which the mining industry realized profit of 34.24 billion Yuan, down 9.9%; smelting and rolling processing industry realized profit of 54.84 billion Yuan, down 10.4%.
In August, electrolytic aluminum output increased by 5.3%; copper output rose by 10.7%, lead output fell by 6.7% , and zinc production increased by 11.5%.
January to August, electrolytic aluminum output was 14.35 million tons, an increase of 8.2%; copper production increased by 12.3%; lead production increased by 8.4%; zinc production increased by 10.8%, down 5.7% from the same period last year; alumina production increased by 10.4%.
In terms of price, copper, lead, and zinc increased, and electrolytic aluminum declined.
