China's Chalco to close 380,000 tonnes of aluminum capacity

The Aluminum Corp of China Ltd (Chalco) , the country's top aluminum maker, has decided to temporarily close 380,000 tonnes of capacity due to market conditions.

Chalco said in a statement on Wednesday that it had decided on a "flexible" production strategy, "which involves a temporary shutdown of production capacity of approximately 380,000 tonnes of aluminum .
