Most southwest electrolytic aluminium factories continue full production though aluminium price is lower than cost

Although aluminium price fell sharply after Spring Festival, there is no sigh that high cost electrolytic factories in southwest will reduce out put.

Some source said that present price is lower than cash cost in southwest. But companies are trying to apply policy support from the government and other provinces are still continuing subsidy policies. So there won’t be any sign of cutting output in short term. Except some aluminium refineries in Guangxi province were shut down, electrolytic aluminium factories in Guizhou, Sichuan and Yunnan are still in full production state.
