Accoding to president of a refinery and some traders in China, due to the high aluminium inventory and the low point of aluminium future price in two and half years, aluminum export is expected to grow in the first half of 2013.
Official data showed that Chinese aluminium export was t 230,000 tonnes in January, increased 15.5% compared to the same time in 2012, and remained unchanged compared to December 2012.
The high cost of shutting down forced refineries to continue producing during Spring Festival holiday, but consumer companies stopped working during holiday, which led to a boost in Chinese aluminium inventory.
An analyst from a Chinese aluminium website said that aluminium production may continue to increase because refineries started about 1 million tones of capacity in the forth quarter in 2012.
A present from a refinery in Guangdong province said that with the high speed of productin, material of aluminium will increase.
“At the end of March, alminium ingot inventory will decline. Till then all the refinery will start producing.” A president and sales manager from a large refinery said: “Many factories have received orders from America and Janpan. This situation will stimulate export.”
